Diffusion of silicone balloon catheters
The balloons of silicone balloon catheters in general allow a diffusion caused by the material. Therefore the balloon might evacuate slowly. This applies especially to nephrostomy and suprapubic balloon catheters with small filling volume. The UROMED filling medium helps to reduce any diffusion effectively due to the glycerin.
